BSL Bog Garden Planting

Last week, with donated plants from the NC Botanical Garden in Chapel Hill, the Boiling Spring Lakes Garden Club planted the bog garden with native wetland plants.  If you missed the post on building the bog garden you can see it here.

We planted many different plants:

Coastal Plain Gentian (Gentiana catesbaei)

Pinewoods Goldenrod (Solidago pinetorum)

Savanna Grass-Leaved Aster (Eurybia paludosa)

Venus flytrap (Dionaea muscipula)

Purple Butterwort (Pinguicula caerulea)

Yellow Pitcher Plant (Sarracenia flava)

Sweet Pitcher Plant (Sarracenia rubra)

Purple Pitcher Plant (Sarracenia purpurea)
