Fire in the Lakes

Well we managed to pull off the third annual Fire in the Lakes Festival, despite a few rain showers.  Unfortunately we were unable to do the demonstration controlled burn and a few of the participants cancelled at the last-minute but all in all it was a fun event.  We had live bluegrass music and a great kids crafting area where kids made Venus flytrap puppets and fire crowns.  Smokey Bear was there and we had amazing fire jugglers do a few performances.  There was good food provided by Trolly Stop and Umami Truck and great information shared by our many partners that participated in the event to show support for controlled burning.  Below are some photos of the event taken by one of our volunteers Frank Aaron.  Thanks again to all that helped and supported our event!
